I started running about...You sound so much like me! I started running about a year and a half ago on a treadmill but my knees starting hurting from doing something with improper for. Try throwing in weights! I LOVE lifting! It will give you some definition. I had never been able to run a mile a year or so ago but got up to three and this past May did my first mud run ever - a 5K 15 obstacle run. It was awesome. I feel like I'm in the best shape ever and am about to turn 40! Pretty cool. Way to go. I can totally relate to you! I'm to the point I don't want to run too much b/c I don't want to defeat the purpose of trying to build muscle by lifting. It seems to be a balancing act! I'm to the point where I actually like running too. I've been using the C25K app and I really like it. Is your plan an app, or just something you follow? I've been having trouble with injuries though...went through a time when my heel really hurt, and now that's better, but my ankle hurts. I'm wondering if I need new shoes.
